urban spaces
project: art project
description:
A photo series of urban everyday public spaces, supermarket, fast food restaurant, public toilet, closed park space, art gallerie. My aim was to show them like frozen, in vacuum, in the state where their existence reaches the point of absurd, that is empty, in a sense without people in them. In that state, these spaces are going even beyond absurd, getting a metaphysical meaning. Putting gallery space in the relation with supermarket makes us think about the commercialization of art and its place in a world where everything is for one use and replaceable. It is asking us about eternal values in a world where everything is trend, and lasts for one season.
